The Children of Today are the Leaders of Tomorrow - Nepal

Everyone has heard, I hope, of the earthquake in Nepal at around 8 on the scale of Richter (which is really quite high). Many many people became homeless and several thousands were killed or went missing. Especially remote mountaneous areas are badly hit: they have to cope with bad weather, aftershocks, completely vanished infrastructure, landslides and little to no access to hospitals and food supplies. Their shelters have been damaged and so they are affected on all fronts. Luckily international organisations have already sent help to Nepal and their assistance has begon to trickle down to the Nepali people. However, more help is needed to ensure that all inhabitants of this vulnerable area are given assistance and are helped in rebuilding their homes, schools and other buildings. Also important cultural heritages are badly damaged by the shocks of the earthquake. Especially children and elderly are vulnerable to (infectious) diseases as well as scarcity of food, drinking water and hygiene. I have donated already to some organisations, especially little NGO's that locally provide help, aided by local volunteers and distributors. If you want to help, but do not want to have your money spent by large cooperations/organisations in which the money could be going to different purposes than the natural disaster then you can contact me or search on the internet yourself. There is a lot to be found on such topics, especially on social media networks.
