Products & Services CV

Rehabilitation

  • The Animal Rescue Center is located in Turrucares, Costa Rica, and was founded in 2009 by Marielos and Bernal.
  • They started the center with their own money and developed the center over the years with help from volunteers.
  • The goal of the center is to provide a safe environment for wounded and injured wildlife to recover, whereafter they are being released back to nature.
  • At the moment over a hundred animals are living at the center, among them parrots, monkeys and sloths.
  • To help the animals the center hosts a team of veterinarians and relies on the support of volunteers. 

Tours and day visit

  • The center organises day trips for the volunteers so they can discover the country while they are in Costa Rica.
  • It is also possible to visit the center on a day visit. During the visit you can get a tour by one of the volunteers to see the center and the animals.
  • The center is a non-profit so all income from the tours and trips are invested in the center.

Jobs

  • It is possible to become a coordinator at the center. As a coordinator you supervise the volunteers and take care of daily business. Coordinators receive room and board and a small allowance. Check the website for more information and fill in the registration form to apply.

Internships

Volunteering

  • It is possible to volunteer at the center. Volunteers help with things such as; preparing food for the animals, cleaning, construction and giving education. Fill in the registration form on the website to apply.
