Making compost, together with another volunteer from the United States.

Worked with farmers in the Colombian Caribbean and the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, the highest coastal mountain range in the world, which reaches 5,700m and has a complex network of ecosystems.  The area is home to more than 600 bird species—of which nearly 20 are endemic.  This unique environment is sacred to the indigenous communities and must be preserved and protected.
The farmers lived on a mountain and I helped them out with farming, compost and recycling materials. 
Another thing was renovating the local park of Minca, the village where I stayed. It was a great success and a beautiful experience!
