Make a race-course with obstacles.  For example

  • glasses of water
  • boxes
  • chairs
  • pillows
  • robe
  • something to crawl through

Make pairs and give each pair a scarf. One child per pair has to be blindfolded.
The other child leads the blindfolded child through the course, but they can not touch each other. Only guidance using words!

The pair that does it the fastest wins the game.

Purpose/objectives
Working together, the blindfolded child is depended on his guide. The guide has to think about what he says in order to let the blindfolded child gets what he has to do. This activity is also about trust. The blindfolded child has to experience that he can trust his guide.

Materials
Space! Obstacles to make a race-course and scarfs to blindfold.
