'Song for Furaha' is VanVelzen's contribution to the Gitaarlem Album in order to raise a musical fist against the abuse of women in conflict areas all over the globe. 
It was written for Furaha - a young woman VanVelzen met in Congo - who despite a seriously troubled start in life, stayed strong and became the positive and inspiring young person she is today.
