Intro: life and experiences in Somalia

Traveling in and emigrating to Somalia

  • Somalia is (has been) embroiled in many wars and is therefore known as an unstable country. The landscape is mostly flat and dry and has a number of mountain ranges such as the Karkaar Mountains. There are also several National Parks and the country has a long coastline with sandy beaches. Despite the many attractive aspects of the country that could potentially attract tourists, the country is not always safe. Culturally, religiously and historically, the country is strongly linked to the Arab world.
