I’ve been in a country this summer,
much different from my home
I saw the people, they’re happy,
though they might be so alone
All the things they’ve been through
are worse than I’ve ever seen
Still they are happy, they’re grateful,
their smiles are the best I have seen
These people have had a bad start in their lives
but they always seem to succeed
They give love, they are grateful,
they show you what you don’t need
We all have dreams we’ll follow,
we’ll fight ‘till the goal is reached
Imagine a life where you don’t have
the tools to make it complete
I’ve seen the dreamers, the fighters,
the hopeful and the need
But they are not capable
of becoming who they want to be
Still they’re dreaming, they’re fighting,
they’re praying to God: ‘please send me an angle to help’
Can we be those angles? The miracle they need?
