Griekenland gaat in beroep bij het Internationale Gerechtshof gebaseerd op een document wat zij zelf hebben vastgelegd ( application ).

Rechtsoverweging
Het Hof geeft aan dat er bij interpretatie met name gelet moet worden op de context en de bepalingen van het document. Op deze wijze kan enkel vastgesteld woren wat partijen met de tekst bedoeld hebben. In dit geval werd geconcludeerd dat het applicaat waar Griekenland de rechtsmacht van het Hof op baseert niet voldoende is om jurisdictie aan te nemen.
