JoHo WorldSupporter mission and vision:

  • JoHo wants to enable people and organizations to develop and work better together, and thereby contribute to a tolerant and sustainable world. Through physical and online platforms, it supports personal development and promote international cooperation is encouraged.

JoHo concept:

  • As a JoHo donor, member or insured, you provide support to the JoHo objectives. JoHo then supports you with tools, coaching and benefits in the areas of personal development and international activities.
  • JoHo's core services include: study support, competence development, coaching and insurance mediation when departure abroad.

Deze internationale organisatie biedt vrijwilligerswerk aan op de ‘Peace Boat’. De Peace Boat is een Japans initiatief om vrede, mensenrechten en duurzame ontwikkeling op een unieke manier onder de aandacht te brengen. Je kunt als deelnemer mee op één van de tochten die de Peace Boat maakt.

Een voorbeeld van een reis is een 2-maandse reis naar Cuba. Tijdens de reis is er veel aandacht voor interculturele communicatie en vrede. Deze zaken worden besproken tijdens onder andere seminars, presentaties en debatten. Als vrijwilliger kun je aan de slag als tolk of Engelse onderwijzer op dePeace Boat. Het is ook mogelijk om aan de slag te gaan op één van de 8 hoofdkantoren die door heel Japan gevestigd zijn. Je kunt je hier bezighouden met de planning en voorbereiding van de reizen en acties die de Peace Boat maakt. De Peace Boat biedt ook (zomer) stageplaatsen aan.
