Langetermijngeheugen:
- Declaratief: heeft bewuste recall
- Episodisch geheugen: persoonlijk ervaring gebeurtenissen
- Semantisch geheugen: “feitelijke” kennis over de wereld
- Non-decleratief: geleerde kennis beïnvloedt ons gedrag maar wel op een vaste manier. Hiervan hebben we geen bewuste recall
- Priming: bvb visuele priming middels een fixatiekruis
- Conditionering: associatief of operant (hierbij worden nieuwe connecties gevormd), habituatie/sensitisatie (hierbij worden geen nieuwe connecties gevormd)
- Declaratief geheugen: kennis van handelingen
Sensorisch geheugen → Werkgeheugen → Langetermijngeheugen
- Sensorisch geheugen: zintuigen zenden naar specifieke cortex gebieden. Dit geheugen wordt automatisch en onbewust gevormd. Afhankelijk van de aandacht zend deze naar WH
- Werkgeheugen: in de hippocampus wordt informatie verwerkt. Werkt als een soort filter, waarbij een herinnering wordt gevormd of niet
- Langetermijngeheugen: netwerk tussen neuronen in specifieke cortex gebieden. Hierin wordt informatie opgeslagen en opgehaald vanuit het werkgeheugen
Werkgeheugenmodel (een ander model is het associatieve netwerkmodel)
Hersenen en geheugen
- Prefrontale cortex: werkgeheugen
- Striatum: procedureel geheugen
- Cerebrale cortex: perceptueel geheugen, semantisch geheugen, priming
- Amygdala: emotioneel geheugen
- Cerebellum: motorisch geheugen
- Hippocampus: declaratief geheugen, episodisch en semantisch geheugen
Diagnostiek van het geheugen
- (hetero) Amanese
- Kennis van geheugenmodellen
- Kennis van overige domeinen
Stoornissen waarbij geheugenstoornissen zijn:
- Veroudering: milde/subtieve geheugenproblemen zonder inferentie in het dagelijks leven. Cognitieve vaardigheden zijn normaal op testen. Geen sprake van depressie/anxiety
- Depressie: geheugenproblemen met minimale interventie in dagelijks functioneren (vaak eerder door moodproblemen). Plotselinge subtiele deviaties in cognitief functioneren
- Dementie: beperkt ziekte inzicht of gerapporteerde ongespecificeerde/globale geheugenproblemen. Infereert duidelijk in het dagelijks leven. Cognitieve problemen zijn progressief en significant op testen. Mood varieert of kan vlak zijn.
- Korsokov: kan leiden tot een amnestisch syndroom
- Amnesie (amnestisch syndroom): anterograde en retrograde amnesie, normaal werkgeheugen, betere herkenning dan reproductie, impliciet geheugen is intact (dus bij cueing en procedureel geheugen)
- Traumatisch hersenletsel: veelvoorkomend bij jongeren. Beschadigingen in frontaalkwab en temporale gebieden leiden tot geheugenstoornissen. De PTA duur voorspelt de outcome. Pas op dat het niet de aandacht en concentratie is die is aangedaan ipv geheugen!
- Epilepsie: kan leiden tot een amnestisch syndroom door beschadiging aan de hippocampus en/of het limbisch systeem.

Vormen van dementie
- Parkinson: subcorticale vorm
Testonderzoek
Cijferreeksen (WAIS-IV): steeds langer wordende cijferreeksen worden aangeboden waarbij wordt gevraagd deze vooruit te herhalen (aandachtsspanne) achteruit te herhalen (werkgeheugen) of te sorteren (structuur)

- The topics and taxonomy of the study and working fields gives you insight in the amount of summaries that are tagged by authors on specific subjects. This type of navigation can help find summaries that you could have missed when just using the search tools. Tags are organised per field of study and per study institution. Note: not all content is tagged thoroughly, so when this approach doesn't give the results you were looking for, please check the search tool as back up
