• The South American Guyana, located between Venezuela and Suriname, is known for large areas of rainforest where waterfalls can be seen that are among the largest in the world. In addition, the country is one of the best preserved places for ecotourism. Although the country has a history of political instability and corruption, it has much to offer for the traveler. Guyana has been a Dutch territory for a long time, which can still be seen in, for example, place and street names.
