DAN is an international diving organization.
This organization has developed special insurances for divers (recreational, professional, as well as diving schools and diving associations).
DAN offers a range of annual insurances and within these insurances you can choose the amount of your coverage.
Most travel insurance policies only provide coverage for dives up to 40m, often excluding wreck and cave diving.
However, many divers do do wreck or go deeper than 40m once.
When you have a diving accident, specialized medical treatment is often necessary.
As a member of the DAN network, you can take advantage of DAN's network of doctors, decompression chambers and possibly lawyers specializing in diving accidents.

Choose Sport Member if you go diving recreationally and want to be well insured. All types of dives are covered, including technical dives. No depth limits.
If you will be diving professionally, for example as an instructor or dive guide, choose the Pro Member package. It covers you and your students.
Choose Club Member to insure your diving club and instructors for personal assistance and liability.

With the Sport and Pro Member policies, you can choose between Bronze, Silver or Gold coverage.
The Bronze package is suitable for all divers who travel less frequently and want good basic coverage. With Sport Member, coverage is up to 40m and technical diving is not included.
With Silver, all types of diving are covered without depth limit. Technical diving is also included.
With the Gold package you are insured at higher amounts on top of all the above.

The Club Member package offers professional liability coverage for a dive center and 10 instructors working there, with Club Member PLUS an unlimited number of instructors is co-insured.
Furthermore, the Club Member package offers diving accident coverage for 15 students, the Club Member PLUS package accommodates 40 students.

You can extend the Sport and Pro Member packages with Travel no limits coverage. This extends your maximum coverage period for non-diving related accidents to one year and allows you to co-insure your partner and/or children.

You can always increase the DAN insurance coverage. Downward adjustment is not possible.
For example, you can change from Sport Member Silver to Pro Member Silver.
When you change your DAN plan, the duration will not be adjusted. The additional premium is calculated pro rata.

The DAN insurance primarily provides coverage for diving-related accidents You can also extend the Sport and Pro Member packages with coverage for non-diving-related accidents. Please note that this coverage is limited; for example, limits apply to medical expenses.
In general, diving instructors and diver masters choose to combine DAN insurance with an international travel insurance

On DAN Europe's website you will find an extensive coverage overview and corresponding premiums for the Sport, Pro and Club Member packages.
Put together your own package and calculate what your premium will be.
The DAN insurance is valid for 365 days and expires automatically. You need to renew it annually.
DAN Europe will send you an email about this around the renewal date.

Wil je een combinatie maken van de DAN Diving Insurance voor je duikwerkzaamheden en de Special ISIS of de Globetrotter voor je reis en andere werkzaamheden, dan kan je beide verzekeringen in willekeurige volgorde aan vragen.
In het algemeen kiest men ervoor om eerst de Special ISIS of de Globetrotter af te sluiten zodat de reis, de zorgkosten en alle activiteiten goed gedekt zijn. Daarna kan je deze aanvullen met de DAN Diving Insurance.
Je kunt in de aanvraagormulieren van de Special ISIS en de Globetrotter bij het reisplan aangeven aan dat je van plan bent ook de DAN Diving Insurance aan te vragen.
