Volunteering in a local community

• Isan Survivor aims to improve the English skills of the community, by welcoming volunteers to teach and interact with the locals. In doing so, the organization works with several local schools and adult education centres.
• Volunteers can for example teach English at primary and secondary schools in the area. It is also possible to teach other subjects such as computer skills or art classes. The aim is to equip the children with skills that will give them more opportunities for their future. 
• In return, volunteers have the opportunity to experience the Isan culture, as they are working and living amongst the local people.

Volunteers

• Isan Survivor often looks for English speaking volunteers to teach English at several schools in the region. It is not neccesary to be a native English speaker. Beside teaching English, volunteers have the opportunity to teach classes like dance, computer skills or music. Check their website or contact the organization for further information.
