Volunteering Vietnam

 

For 8 weeks I was a volunteer in Can Tho, Vietnam and visited 6 different projects. I teached English to mostly children of age 4-5, 5-7 or 11-14. Futhermore, I also visited an orphanage twice a week to entertain children with several toys we brought. Another project included teaching English to Vietnames volunteers (adults) and we helped preparing meals for patients at a charity hospital.

Met een aantal mensen gesproken die vrijwilligerswerk willen gaan doen. Ik heb ze een aantal tips gegeven en ze aangeraden om via de organisatie vrijwilligwereldwijd naar het buitenland te gaan. I interviewed Trung, he is a former student electrotechnique at Can Tho university and he is 22 years old. I met him during one of the volunteerprojects: charity hospital. He and other Vietnamese volunteers prepare dinner for the patients in the hospital, all the ingredients are donated by local people.
