Cheetah Conservation Project Zimbabwe

De Cheetah Conservation Project Zimbabwe (CCPZ) is een organisatie die zich inzet voor het welzijn van de Cheeta's. Ze doen dit door middel van onderzoek, educatie en samenwerking met bedrijven, inwoners van Zimbabwe en toeristen. De CCPZ is opgericht in 2012 door Nederlandse Dr. Esther van der Meer.

Products & Services CV

  • Volgens de IUCN behoort de cheeta tot Vulnerable, wat betekent dat ze bijna tot de classificatie 'uitsterven' behoren.  
  • De CCZP zet zich in om de cheeta te helpen en uitsterven te voorkomen. Hiervoor hebben ze verschillende projecten. 
  • Zoals het afgeven van enquêtes en het houden van interviews om meer informatie op te doen. 
  • Verder houd CCPZ ook bij hoeveel cheeta's gespot worden in Zimbabwe. Ze doen dit door gegevens te verzamelen van organisaties, daarnaast kunnen mensen op de site invullen hoeveel en waar ze cheeta's gezien hebben en ze kunnen foto's van de cheeta's insturen. Door middel van de foto's kan CCZP herkennen of het een nieuwe cheeta is, want elke cheeta heeft een uniek patroon. 
  • Educatie wordt ook gebruikt, ze geven lessen aan kinderen en volwassenen, om de problemen uit te leggen en bewustwording te creeëren.
