• Spotting nature: In addition to the rugged, dry landscapes, it is the coastal wetlands where you should go in the Emirates to see special animals and plants. In the emirate of Fujeirah, for example, there is the Wadi Wurayah nature reserve, where, in addition to many special birds, you can also encounter caracals and foxes. Furthermore, you can (with a bit of luck) look for the Arabian tahr goat, Arabian oryx, sand gazelle, Arabian wolf, striped hyena, red fox, Blanford fox, Rüppell fox, the Asian caracal, the Arabian wild cat, the desert cat and 400+ bird species. If you have not yet spotted a sea turtle while snorkeling, visit the turtle sanctuary in Dubai.
