Since its opening in August 2015, Confluence teachers and administrators have worked diligently and with enthusiasm to build a quality educational programme that stimulates learning, generates good learning habits and promotes positive attitudes. The school welcomes children representing different countries and the teaching staff prides itself on maintaining a close rapport with each of the students; in fact, all visitors can feel the atmosphere of friendly camaraderie. The language of instruction is English.

Academic programme

• Confluence International School of Khartoum is an IB Candidate World School for the Primary & Middle Years Programmes.
• The IBO offers the Primary Years Programme (PYP) for students aged 3 to 11 years, the Middle Years Programme (MYP) for students aged 11 to 16 years and the Diploma Programme and IBCC, for students in the final two years of secondary school preparing for entry to university.

Lifelong learning

• Confluence International School of Khartoum offers high quality education that stimulates lifelong learning, develops skills and globally relevant concepts, generates good learning habits and promotes positive attitudes.
• Within these programmes they offer a comprehensive, inquiry-based and student-centred approach to teaching and learning. They focus on the total growth of the developing child- intellectual, physical, emotional and social, which is monitored and scaffolded with rigorous and holistic assessment.

Intercultural understanding

• Beyond intellectual rigour and high academic standards, strong emphasis is placed on the ideas of intercultural understanding and respect, responsible communication and citizenship, and cooperation with schools and institutions both in Sudan and abroad in order to create a better and more peaceful world.
