Last February 17, 2019, Sining Kamalig had an opening for the solo exhibit of Mr. Joey Ofludor’s “Concutio”. Joey Ofludor is a surrealist painter known among his peers for his attention for details and using bold and rich color on his works. He was an alumnus at University of Santo Tomas and he also taught humanities and theatre art at la Consolacion College. Mr. Ofludor’s works have been featured in a number of groups and of course solo exhibits. Now, he is the currently creative director of Artworx Philippines, a creative management group.

          And true to its words, Mr. Ofludor’s works is really amazing. His artworks made the whole gallery more alive. Every painting has its own story to tell. No painting is left behind. All his paintings stand out in their own ways.

          Sining kamalig also launch a poetry writing contest, in conjunction with Concutio, the art exhibit of Mr. Joey Ofludor. The poetry writing competition asks participants to give a title to the particular painting which will be on display at the Sining Kamalig Art Gallery and interpret the painting in an original poem.
