Travel & Move:
In Tanzania I travelled together with an other volunteer and a local gril from Dar es Salaam to Mbeya. A 850km long trip...... by truck!
In Mbeya we stayed at the grandmothers place of the local gril. During this travel I learnd a lot about the Tanzanian way of living and I was really moved by the fact how open and kind the people were.
Experience & Leisure:
I lived in several host families on three different continents. Especially the normal times with the families occurred to me as very nice and learn full.
I learned a lot about different cultures and I am convinced that the host families also learned a lot from me.
Learn & Develop:
During secondary school I have been involved in several very interesting programs as a volunteer, for example a school camp, a cultural film night, exchange programs and so on.
And the best is yet to come. With a study on global challenges I believe my contributions to the world will become even more meaningful.
Help & Change:
I worked for three months at Msongola Scondary School in Tanzania as a Mathematics and Physics teacher.
The government is trying hard to get more students interested in science subjects and it was a pleasure to contribute to this goal. In India, where everybody seems to be an engineer, I worked for four months in the Environmental Education and Eco-club project, giving students the knowledge and skills to help India become a sustainable country.
Work & Initiate:
At the moment I am working for an Indian NGO as a volunteer. I help to spread awareness about environmental issues and sustainability in the area of Kundapura.
In addition I started up a masterclass for local students which trains them to initiate their own projects, making them real Eco-club ambassadors.

A short yet complex question.  The 7th standard students accepted the challenge and started brainstorming (in tree shape, of course). Now that their own ideas were clear it was time to change the point of view, what if you don't live in a small village in India but in a big city in America? A...
