Hedonistisch welbevinden, ook wel subjectieve gelukstheorie genoemd, is een benadering van geluk die stelt dat geluk het nastreven en ervaren van plezier is. In tegenstelling tot eudaimonisch welbevinden, dat zich richt op het ontwikkelen van deugd en karakter, benadrukt hedonistisch welbevinden het najagen van positieve emoties en het minimaliseren van negatieve emoties.
