De boerderij en het ecosysteem

  • Parque Bambú werd opgericht door Piet Sabbe, een Belg die in Ecuador woont. Hij kocht een stuk land van 15 hectare en ontwikkelde op zichzelf een ecosysteem.
  • In Ecuador is een groot deel van het land ontbost en als tegenreactie hierop herbergt Parque Bambú nu verschillende soorten wijndruiven, bamboe en akkerland.
  • Volgens de visie van Parque Bambú moet iedere organisatie en persoon op een ecologisch en sociaal verantwoorde manier opereren. Piet Sabbe deelt zijn kennis en visie door lokale NGO's en studenten te bezoeken en rondleidingen op zijn terrein aan te bieden.

Mogelijkheden

  • Bezoekers kunnen in Parque Bambú verblijven in een van de privékamers of de slaapzaal. De kamers hebben een eigen badkamer en het ontbijt is inbegrepen. Het is mogelijk om bij de accommodatie een wandeling van 45 minuten te maken, die u langs alle verschillende soorten bamboe en bomen brengt die op het terrein groeien. Het verkennen van de omgeving wordt aanbevolen.
  • Parque Bambú biedt ook cursussen over permacultuur aan; een introductie van een week of een volledige cursus van een maand.
  • Ga aan de slag als vrijwilliger in de permacultuur

Volunteering

  • Parque Bambú has several options for volunteer work, with a minimal stay of three months. Volunteers learn about permaculture while working. Volunteers pay a fee that includes things like food, lodging and instructions during daily tasks. See the website for more information and contact the organization to apply.
