Casus
In dit artikel wordt gebruik gemaakt van een casus, namelijk het verhaal van de heer Cramwinkel. Hij solliciteerde naar een functie als accountmanager. Tijdens zijn sollicitatieprocedure wordt hij onderzocht door een psycholoog, Petra. Zij spreekt met hem af dat zij hem belt na hun afspraak, om hun conclusies te bespreken. Ook zal zij de opdrachtgever bellen om de conclusies te bespreken. Ook wordt er een schriftelijk rapport uitgebracht, dat hij nog mag lezen voordat het wordt verstuurd. Cramwinkel stemt hiermee in. Dit verloopt allemaal zoals gezegd. Echter komt Cramwinkel er later achter dat Petra na het telefoongesprek met hem, de opdrachtgever een korte samenvatting heeft gestuurd, waarin zij vrij negatief over hem was.
Rapportage
Volgens het Nederlands Instituut Psychologen (NIP) mogen psychologen schriftelijke rapporten over cliënten pas verzenden als deze cliënten de tekst hebben kunnen inzien en kunnen hebben aangegeven dat zij geen bewaar hebben tegen deze rapportage. Dit was dus niet zo in het geval van meneer Cramwinkel. Dus, zonder toestemming van meneer Cramwinkel had Petra geen samenvatting over hem mogen versturen. Daarnaast is het ook zo dat Petra redelijk veel rapportages over haar cliënt heeft uitgebracht. Dit is ook in strijd met de beroepscode van het NIP. Daarnaast zijn mondelinge rapportages ook niet gewenst, want het is lastig voor cliënten om deze te beoordelen, vergeleken met schriftelijke rapportages. Waarschijnlijk werd Petra onder druk gezet door de opdrachtgever om zo snel mogelijk een oordeel klaar te hebben.
Aanbevelingen
- Wees eenduidig. Rapporteer aan derden op een manier die geen misverstanden wekt.
- Bespreek van tevoren met alle betrokkenen in welke vorm het rapport zal worden uitgebracht.
- Rapporteer schriftelijk.
- Informeer cliënten volledig over de inhoud van een voorgenomen rapportage.
- Geef cliënten de kans om een rapportage te blokkeren.
- Respecteer hun recht op handhaving van vertrouwelijkheid.
