Plagiaat

Het plegen van plagiaat heeft niet alleen te maken met het stelen van het intellectueel eigendom van een ander. Het gaat erom dat de plagiaatpleger de naam van de originele auteur niet noemt en hierdoor met de eer strijkt.
Het artikel beschrijft hoe niet alleen de originele auteurs, maar ook anderen in de wetenschapswereld, slachtoffer worden van de diefstal van de plagiaatpleger. Het artikel stelt dat alle eerlijke wetenschappers in het werkveld die originele stukken publiceren ook slachtoffer zijn. Met de artikelen, die niet door hen zelf geschreven zijn, krijgen de plagiaatplegers banen, promoties en financiering toegekend.
Plagiaatplegers ontnemen eerlijke wetenschappers de kans op het krijgen van deze beloningen. Dus iedere keer wanneer een plagiaatpleger een beloning ontvangt voor werk, dat niet door hem geschreven is, is een eerlijke wetenschapper, die het wel verdient, daar de dupe van.
