After the family drawing activity I'll get a paper and write the name of the child in the centre.
Then I will ask: who is the most important person in your life? The name of that person will be right next to the name of the child.

Next is: are there other persons important for you? The less important, the further the name of that person will be (in relation to the name of the child). Also the family members from the drawing will be placed in the genogram. The sort relation (family, relatives, friends, other important persons) will be identified in the genogram.

Purpose/objectives
By making the genogram, I can learn very quick who are important persons for that child, the place of the family members, and the perspective of the child about relations. Also you can identify sources of strenght. For example, a capable aunt that is very important for the child might get more involved in the intervention of the child, when it is clear that the aunt is a very important person for that child.

Materials
Paper and pencil. Quiet (separated) room and a peer educator who would like to help me with the translation
