Presentation Dutch Culture

In malawi we presented our dutch culture. We did this with the help of a poster (as you can see in the picture). 

We devided our presentation in 5 categories: Kingdom, map, dutch people, food and mixed culture.

Kingdom: The Netherlands we are a kingdom. We were had a queen for 123 years, but last year we got a King. Every year we celebrate kingsday. Everybody is dressed in orange clothes, beceause orange is our color. We play typical dutch games and eat typical dutch food.

Map: This is the dutch map ( - we drawed a dutch map too - ). Here is Amsterdam, the captital. All the big cities are established around this area. Here is Enschede, that's where we are from

Dutch People: In Holland we have 17 million people, and I'm going to tell you a little about them. To begin with, their appearance. In Holland, we all look very different. We have people with brown hair, blond hair, red hair, curly hair, straigt hair, all types of hair. Same for the eye color or skin color. We are also very long as you can see. We are one of the tallest people on earth. Then I want to tell you something about our characteristics. To begin with, we are very strict. Our days are always planned out. We know what we are going to do every minute of the day. Beside that, we are never late. 

Dutch people are also very direct. We say what we think. Also to straingers. But besides that, we are very tolerant and free thinking.

Food: We import a lot of food. We do eat food from Holland, but most of the time we eat food which is from foreign countries. Typical dutch food is "Hutspot". Its a mix of potatoes and carrots. We also have black liquorice candy and syrup cookies. These are all dutch food. 

Mixed culture: In holland, we have a real mixed culture. Thats because people from all over the world are living in Holland. We have immigrants coming to Holland, all for different reasons. There for, we have all different religions, cultures, food and people in Holland.
