Blend. Lodge & Kitchen (formerly Pakachere) is a backpackers' hostel and creative center in Malawi, founded by two Dutch nationals. The place serves as a meeting place where people can come together for workshops, activities, overnight stays, dinners, or just a drink in a unique atmosphere. Overlanders and people bringing their own tent are welcome on the green premises.

Internationale ontmoetingsplek

  • Blend. Lodge & Kitchen is een backpackershostel en creatief centrum in Zomba, Malawi.
  • Blend. Lodge & Kitchen is een ontmoetingsplek, waar lokale mensen en internationale mensen bij elkaar komen. Door ruimte te bieden om samen een drankje te doen en kennis uit te wisselen, wil Pakachere mensen van over de hele wereld inspireren

Accommodatie en activiteiten

  • Er zijn verschillende mogelijkheden om te overnachten. Zoals op een slaapzaal, in een privé-kamer, of in een tent.
  • Ook is er een tuin, een laundry service en een restaurant op locatie.
  • In het het hostel kun je je inschrijven voor dagtrips, bijvoorbeeld een "Welcome to Zomba" trip, natuurwandelingen, en een historische stadswandeling.
  • Verder worden er diverse workshops gegeven, onder andere schilderen, een kookcursus of traditionele dans.

Creatief Centrum

  • Met het Creatief Centrum wil men uitwisseling bevorderen tussen lokale mensen en internationale bezoekers.
  • De meeting space kan worden gereserveerd voor vergaderingen en andere events.
  • Ook heeft het Creatief Centrum een divers activiteitenaanbod, waaronder yoga, pub quizes en filmavonden.
  • Voor grote groepen kan een programma op maat gemaakt worden.

Internships

  • Studenten die een universitaire opleiding volgen kunnen stageonderzoek doen. Neem hiervoor contact op en stuur een voorstel mee.

Volunteering

  • Blend. Lodge & Kitchen zoekt ervaren vrijwilligers voor diverse werkzaamheden (onder andere toerisme en IT). Je stelt een plan van aanpak op en hebt aantoonbaar ervaring in het werkveld. Zie voor meer informatie de website van Blend. Lodge & Kitchen .
