JoHo WorldSupporter mission and vision:

  • JoHo wants to enable people and organizations to develop and work better together, and thereby contribute to a tolerant and sustainable world. Through physical and online platforms, it supports personal development and promote international cooperation is encouraged.

JoHo concept:

  • As a JoHo donor, member or insured, you provide support to the JoHo objectives. JoHo then supports you with tools, coaching and benefits in the areas of personal development and international activities.
  • JoHo's core services include: study support, competence development, coaching and insurance mediation when departure abroad.

Wereldwijde gemeenschappen

  • L'Arche International zet zich wereldwijd in voor mensen met een verstandelijke beperking. De lokale vestigingen van L'Arche worden ook wel gemeenschappen genoemd. Deze gemeenschappen bestaan uit huizen en appartementen waar onder andere dagprogramma's voor mensen met een verstandelijke beperking plaatsvinden. 
  • Binnen deze gemeenschappen is persoonlijke groei en volwassen worden belangrijk; zo is de visie van L'Arche dat iedereen een bijdrage kan leveren aan de maatschappij, ongeacht fysieke of verstandelijke beperkingen.
  • Er wordt dagelijks gewerkt aan het ontwikkelen van langdurige relaties tussen leden van de gemeenschap en het bewerkstelligen van een stabiele thuisomgeving. De vrijwilligers en betaalde krachten die ondersteuning en hulp bieden aan de gemeenschapsleden met een handicap worden getraind en werken samen met externe zorgverleners. 

 

Jobs & Internships CV

Jobs

  • Er zijn mogelijkheden om betaald als assistent te werken met mensen met een verstandelijke beperking binnen één van de gemeenschappen wereldwijd. Via de website van L'Arche International kun je het land selecteren waar je wilt werken en zie je hoe je kunt solliciteren. Voorwaarde is dat je voor minimaal één jaar beschikbaar bent.

Internships

  • Er zijn voor zover bij JoHo bekend (nog) geen mogelijkheden om stage te lopen bij L'Arche International.

Volunteering

  • Er zijn mogelijkheden om als vrijwilliger te werken met mensen met een verstandelijke beperking binnen één van de gemeenschappen wereldwijd. De procedure verschilt per land, kijk op de website van het land van jouw keuze of neem contact met hen op.
