Intro: life and experiences in Kyrgyzstan

Snow-capped mountain ridges, high passes, wild rivers and barren plateaus literally and figuratively take your breath away (almost the entire country is above 1,000 meters). Kyrgyzstan's nature reserves are home to 20,000 species of animals (or 8% of the world's population), many of which are very rare. The biosphere reserve at Lake Issy-Kul, which is the second largest mountain lake in the world, is almost as big as Switzerland.
