A little over a week before departure. July 12th, something like 6 o' clock in the evening from Brussels. It's both exiting and nerve-wrecking but not quite stressful. Mom deals with the 'stress' department. Mom also does 'doom scenario's'.
A few weeks ago I had the second preparation day with Worldmapping, in Utrecht. We got to know each other a little bit better, went through some last-minute details and then through the programme for the trip!
It is very exiting to finally know where we will be going, even though I could not exactly tell you what we will be doing: we will be helping the projects in the way they need us at that particular moment. Now if I know myself well enough, I can predict right now that I will have some freaking out to do, as I do not like to not know what I will have to do. I also know that everything will be just fine.
The projects we will be visiting are Liyo (Likubula Youth Organization), Chayof (Chinamwali Aids, Youth and Orphan Care Foundation), Bwalo and Hope for Malawi. Most of these projects work with the youth of Malawi, with the exception of Hope for Malawi, which concentrates on one particular village.
I am really exited to see what exactly we will be doing and I hope to soon have some interesting things to put on here.
Regards,
Nina.
