Who was Alfred Kinsey?

Alfred Kinsey (1894-1856) was a biologist and sexologist whose research became a worldwide source of information about human sexuality and new standards for sex research. He reoriented the field and moved it away from the medical model to one encompassing a variety of disciplines. His research was foundational to the field of sexology and has influenced social and cultural values all over the world.

Welke sekse en leeftijd vertoont welk seksueel gedrag? Iets kan bij een kind normaal zijn maar bij een volwassene abnormaal. Wie, wat, wanneer, waar en waarom (waarom wel of geen stoornis?).

Het gaat om samenspel tussen het individu en de samenleving, gewenst en ongewenst gedrag.

In de DSM-5 worden seksuele stoornissen gedefinieerd als een verstoring in het vermogen om seksueel te responderen of seksueel plezier te ervaren. In vergelijking met 4 is de seksuele responscyclus verlaten en zijn seksuele gevoelens weer terug.

Seksuele disfunctie vrouwen volgens DSM-V

  • Stoornis in het seksueel verlangen en seksuele opwindingsstoornis zijn samengevoegd

  • Seksuele aversie verdwenen uit DSM 5

  • Problemen met orgasme

  • Vaginisme en Dyspareunie zijn samengevoegd
