Travel in Kosovo?
- Kosovo, with an area of 10,887 km2, has been part of Europe since 2008. It is located in the middle of the Balkans. Although Kosovo is sometimes overlooked by traditional tourists, the country has a lot to offer for nature lovers, among others.
- The Rugova Mountains are ideal for hiking, skiing and paragliding. However, anyone who wants to take it a bit easier can also enjoy the beautiful view with a picnic.
- In the Mirusha park there are thirteen lakes with various waterfalls. The locals often come here to swim, and in addition to waterfalls and lakes there are various caves in the park.

- The picturesque Prizren is full of beautiful mosques and churches, and the castle that towers above the city is also worth a visit. The city is also known for the Dokufest, a film festival with documentaries that is held every year in August.
- At the foot of a mountain in a pine forest, 25 monks live in the Visoki Dacani monastery. Tourists can visit the monastery, and it will be difficult to find a more peaceful place than this in Kosovo.
- Be prepared and aware that there may still be mines and bombs in remote and uninhabited areas. The paths and roads are largely clear, but you should still be careful.
