All the second years of my course will also have the opportunity to go abroad. I took the opportunity to talk about my experiences and convince them that this is the time to do volunteerwork. I gave them the example that usually medical students start out very altruistic but sadly enough the later they are in their studies the more it is all about the money. I got several people emailing me because they were interested. I was very enthousiastic about this.
