Irish expat living and studying in Groningen, The Netherlands. I have been lucky to travel much of Europe, my last adventure being a Scandinavian trip.
I have also spent 3 weeks traveling around the West coast of America.
Experience & Leisure:
I spend much of my leisure time playing badminton, going to the gym or more recently running.
Before moving to The Netherlands I was about to complete my bronze medal for classical piano and I hope to continue with it when I return to Ireland.
Learn & Develop:
In secondary/high school I was really involved with the younger students, I was a youth leader and part of the Cairdeas (friendship) committee as well as other organization committees in my final year
. I am currently studying psychology at the University of Groningen.
Help & Change:
I have volunteered with my local committee in Ireland since I was sixteen, therefore, I have worked with a large range of people in many situations.
For example, I volunteered with The Alzheimer's Society of Ireland, two local creches and I also helped cook for local residents during school holidays or during events after school.
Work & Initiate:
I currently freelance with JoHo.org. They are a company which provides many services with the intention to develop individuals and other organizations.
I help them produce English summaries as well as support those summaries once they have been completed. I have worked at Leahy's Open Farm since I was sixteen. They are a local family who have set up a farm that is open to the public however they have other ammenities such as a cafe and they run a summer camp which I have helped organize the past two years.
