Wat onderzoekt een neuropsycholoog? Een neuropsycholoog kijkt naar de relatie tussen de hersenen en gedrag aan de hand van eventuele hersenbeschadigingen. Dit kan zowel op groepsniveau als één op één. Een neuropsycholoog richt zich op de relatie tussen hersenen en gedrag en kan dit analyseren aan de hand van mentale processen, zoals cognitie en emotie of aan de hand van hersenfuncties. Deze hersenfuncties worden bestudeerd aan de hand van mensen met hersenschade. Hierbij wordt er ook gekeken naar de cognitieve functie.
