- Logica (argumentatieleer) » basis voor de andere dimensies. Argumentatieleer als toolbox om ons te helpen betere pedagogen te worden
- Ethiek » gaat over het goede en het juiste, dus geen deugdenleer (ons wordt niet verteld wat/hoe we moeten denken) » ethiek als tool om je in pedagogische discussies te kunnen mengen
- Wijsgerige antropologie
- Epistemologie & wetenschapsfilosofie » kennisleer (wat is kennis/wat is de aard van kennis) en hoe ontwikkelt wetenschap zich (= wetenschapsfilosofie)
Wat heeft een pedagoog aan filosofie
- Kritisch reflecteren op denken en handelen » kritisch denken gaat over eigen handelen maar ook over bijv. beleidsontwikkelingen, voorzichtigheid bij het geven van adviezen (o.b.v. wetenschappelijke adviezen/pedagogische adviezen) omdat wetenschap steeds verandert » pedagogische prudentie
- Doordenking van grondslagen en vooronderstellingen (twijfel bij vanzelfsprekendheid)
- Mogelijkheid vs. wenselijkheid » als het wetenschappelijk mogelijk is, moeten we het ook daadwerkelijk willen/is het wenselijk?
‘Heb ik het goed gedaan vs. heb ik er goed aan gedaan’
Overzicht argumentatieleer
- Meningsverschillen
- Gemengd verschil: Verschillende partijen nemen een positie in (dus allebei de groepen een eigen standpunt), niet-gemengd verschil: 1 groep neemt een positie in (de ander betwijfelt dat standpunt)
- Meervoudig: meerdere claims (= contrair)
- Strijdige proposities
- Tegengesteld: de argumenten kunnen niet beiden waar zijn maar ook niet beide onwaar (1 twistpunt, dus enkelvoudig)
- Contrair: de argumenten kunnen niet beiden waar zijn maar wel beiden onwaar (2 of meer twistpunten, dus meervoudig)
- Regels van de kritische discussie (regels aan een wetenschappelijk debat) » Voorbeelden staan in het boek
- Dialectische argumentatie » auteur is aan het argumenteren met zichzelf. Er is een standpunt met voor- en tegenargumenten en weerleggin
- Argumentatieschema
- De grenzen aan de kritische discussie
- Het zijn praktische grenzen, geen principiële grenzen. Je handelt op basis van wat op dat moment de beste kennis is.
- Want: pedagogiek is handelingswetenschap, er is geen onbetwijfelbare/’ware’ kennis
- Keuze voor het (voorlopige) beste antwoord/advies, de voorlopige beste interventie
