Publicatie bias: gedrag tijdens het pbulicatieproces dat papers met positieve resultaten bevoordeelt over papers met negatieve resultaten
Reviewer bias: editors en reviewers bevoordelen papers met positieve resultaten
File-drawering: onderzoeks probleren negatieve resulataten niet te publiceren

P-hacking: exploiteren van felxibiliteit in data analyse om statisch significante resultaten te verkrijgen. Dit kan bewust of onbewus (bvb hindsight bias). Of door de data de vormen naar ee theorie of hypothese zonder hier transparant over te zijn.
 
Hypothesizing after results are known (HARKing): hypothesen bepalen op basis van onderzoeksresultaten. Het presteren vna theoretische onverwachte data alsof deze wel door theorie voorspeld waren en een theorie of hypothese vormen naar data
 
Credibiliteit revolutie: door transparant te zijn zorg je ervoor dat je onderzoek credible is en word teen tweede refplicatiecrisis vermeden
  • Transparant in alle stappen van onderzoek. T.b.v. beoordeling en reproduceerbaarheid
  • Onderzoeksmaterialen, data, analyse code worden gedeeld
  • Vakbladen, universiteiten en subsidiegevers waarderen transparantie
  • Transparantere onderzoekspraktijken
 
Transparantere onderzoekspraktijken
  • Pregregistratie: onderzoeksplan, beslissingen of beslisblomen, gedetailleerde plannen worden van te voren gedeeld. Levert meer reflectie, overleg, feedback
  • Registered reports: er was preregistratie en daarna report
  • Multiverse analyse:Ondercheid tussen arbitratir (meerdere redelijke opties) en niet-arbitraire (duidelijk een beste optie), waarbij alle paden worden bekeken. Dit kan in combinatie met pre-registratie. Alle paden worden verkent en gerapporteerd
 
Open science
  • Verkent data op transparante en comfortabele wijze
  • Beloont kwaliteit, waarover we controle hebben, in plaats van uitkomsten waarover we geen controle hebben
  • Verminder de druk op het verkrijgen van significante resultaten
 
Metascience: de studie van wetenschappelijke normen, praktijk en cutluur, met het doel om te interfereren en te verbeteren

    • Starting pages: for some fields of study and some university curricula editors have created (start) magazines where customised selections of summaries are put together to smoothen navigation. When you have found a magazine of your likings, add that page to your favorites so you can easily go to that starting point directly from your profile during future visits. Below you will find some start magazines per field of study
  2. Use the topics and taxonomy terms
    • The topics and taxonomy of the study and working fields gives you insight in the amount of summaries that are tagged by authors on specific subjects. This type of navigation can help find summaries that you could have missed when just using the search tools. Tags are organised per field of study and per study institution. Note: not all content is tagged thoroughly, so when this approach doesn't give the results you were looking for, please check the search tool as back up
  3. Check or follow your (study) organizations:
    • by checking or using your study organizations you are likely to discover all relevant study materials.
    • this option is only available trough partner organizations
  4. Check or follow authors or other WorldSupporters
    • by following individual users, authors  you are likely to discover more relevant study materials.
  5. Use the Search tools
    • 'Quick & Easy'- not very elegant but the fastest way to find a specific summary of a book or study assistance with a specific course or subject.
    • The search tool is also available at the bottom of most pages
