Samenvatting van het observatie-instrument Agressie bij het vak Observatie van interacties binnen gezinnen - Universiteit Leiden
Fysieke agressie
Fysieke agressie = gedrag waarmee je een object of een persoon schade toebrengt in een situatie waarin agressie aannemelijk is en het niet verklaard kan worden door motorische beperkingen, functionaliteit, spel of exploratie. Agressie naar het eigen lichaam toe noteer je wel, maar wordt meegenomen in de agressie score.
Voorbeelden van agressie:
- Trekken, spugen, slaan, krabben, schudden, duwen, springen/stampen of schoppen
- Gooien of smijten
- Fysiek dreigen met agressief gedrag (bijv. Hand omhoog doen, maar geen daadwerkelijk slaande beweging)
Voorbeelden van geen agressie:
- Gooien met een bal of spelen met een hamer
- Hardhandig pakken van objecten
- Lostrekken/tegenstribbelen als moeder het kind vastheeft of moeder een object vasthoudt
- Object laten vallen
- Trappen of met armen zwaaien zonder richting in bijvoorbeeld een driftbui
- Driftig, druk, baldadig, stout of ongehoorzaam gedrag zonder expliciete agressie
Coderen
Agressie kan onderscheiden worden van spel, taak, communicatie horende bij de leeftijd of onhandige motoriek door:
- Onnodige en/of overmatige kracht
- Context van situatie
- Gezichtsuitdrukking van het kind en eventueel ook verbale uitdrukkingen
Agressief gedrag wat op elkaar volgt, worden alleen apart geteld als:
- Ten minste 2 seconden tussen gedragingen
- Het verschillende gedragingen zijn (bijv. schoppen en slaan)
Als een gedrag niet zichtbaar is, maar wel te horen is, dan mag dit ook gecodeerd worden als agressie. Twijfel je of er sprake was van agressie? Codeer het dan niet als agressie.
Ongeacht hoe moeder reageert op de agressie, wordt het agressieve gedrag gecodeerd als agressie.
