Backpacking or travelling in Malta & Gozo?

  • Islands full of beautiful coastlines, some of the best snorkelling in Europe, archaeological finds to die for and all that with more than 300 days of sunshine a year. Malta and Gozo are perhaps the best beach destinations in Europe and are suitable for a cultural trip, a backpacking adventure or a beach holiday.
  • Spotting activities: visit the capital Valletta; enjoy crystal clear waters in the Blue Lagoon; explore the medieval town of Mdina; soak up the sun and go snorkelling and swimming at the popular beaches; go on a boat trip and discover caves and bays; visit the megalithic temples; taste the Maltese cuisine; enjoy the peace and quiet of Gozo; explore the vibrant (and English) nightlife.
  • Spotting animals: white-tailed sea eagle, Maltese lizard, dolphins, foxes, chameleon. Food Spotting: pastizzi, fenek, bragioli, Maltese bread, Ħobż biż-żejt, aljotta, kapunata, timpana, chestnuts, Maltese wine.
