Intro

Backpacking or traveling in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines?

  • The playground for the rich, but even as a regular traveler or backpacker you can still have a good time! Beautiful white beaches, azure blue water, deep green rainforest, good diving spots and all that with a rum punch in your hands. Although you can reduce the costs by, for example, traveling by public transport and in the shoulder seasons, it remains an expensive destination.
  • Spotting activities: explore Bequia; hike to the active volcano La Soufrière; snorkel at Tobago Cays; discover Kingstown; learn about the history of Black Point Tunnel; rent a boat and island hop away; enjoy the festive local festivals; swim in the Dark View Falls; imagine yourself a pirate in the places where Pirates of the Caribbean was filmed.
  • Spotting animals: hawksbill turtles, parrots, iguanas, all kinds of coral fish, pelicans, frigate birds.
  • Food Spotting: Callaloo Soup, Fried Jackfish, Breadfruit, Conch Fritters, Pepperpot, Roasted Banana, Coconut Dumplings, Rum Punch.

  • Expat community: small, but cozy, just like the islands. Climate: fairly constant temperatures around the mid-twenties with a rainy and dry season.
