  • Mauritius is a paradise for travellers who love beaches, green mountains and a mix of cultures. From relaxing on white sandy beaches to snorkelling at colourful coral reefs, the island offers tropical charm and a rich history.
  • Activities to spot: snorkel and dive at Blue Bay Marine Park; hike in the Black River Gorges National Park; admire the colourful Chamarel sand dunes; explore the markets of Port Louis; spot dolphins at Tamarin Bay; visit the Pamplemousses Botanical Gardens; climb rocks at Pieter Both and go for a walk on one of the beautiful rum estates.
  • Animals to spot: fruit bats, geckos, dolphins, lionfish, sea turtles, chameleons, octopuses and the rare Mauritius kestrel.
  • Food to spot: dholl puri, vindaye, roti, gateaux piment, mine frites, rougaille, alouda, biryani, samosas.
